Some Quicktime Movies (not including this Quicktime Clock) are now available as gif animations in three sizes, thumbnails, phone screen sizes and quarter screen and NTSC standard 640 × 480 pixels.
Here is one of the most boring waste of space movies ever made, but at the time it was made, there were no analogue clocks on digital computers, it was made just to show how quicktime could do it at a frame rate of one frame per second.
The clock hands were made in Swivel 3-D and the clock arms were then animated with formulas in Macromind 3-D and rendered in Phong shading. This clock has 21,600 frames at one frame per second, hence the large file size of 17.2MB. The other six hours are around somewhere, but half seemed too much.
