These images of earth with a flat mercator projection, were designed to be wrapped around a sphere for 3-D modelling and animation. The animations made with some of the high resolution versions of these files are available as gif animations for mobile phone screens or larger computer monitors. The larger images are password protected, go to the subscriber page to pay $8.95 US for access to the higher resolution images.
