Noun counts

By selecting articles like; some, many, few, one, a, all etc. in an article, you can get a word count of the nouns used in a story. This gives you a great idea of "who or what".

The number of unique words in a text is a statistical indication of variability. Does the author use the same words or have a higher percentage of unique words. Conjunctions and prepositions can be repeated many times and make up as much as 50% of the word count. You also get an indication of sentences which are maybe too long and your average sentence length.

In the example shown, if you click on the button "Sample Sentence Statistics", the unique words comprise 50% of the word count. Click on the "Get Nouns" button and see from the frequency of each word count if you can get an idea what the story is about.

The W3C validator does not support the used embed tags, but they are required for the display of shockwave files by some browsers. Without the embed tag and by just using the correct W3C object tag, the page might only work in Internet Explorer. The embed and noembed tags and values for each tag, produce deliberate W3C validation errors, rather than be error free and deny access to Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox, Opera and others.
